Morgan The Last Immortal ebooks available!

Finally, my three novel series is uploaded and ready to e-read. It’s a little bit fantasy, a little bit science fiction with a lot of history from the 1st century (Merlin), 500-600 AD (Arthur) and during the black plague in Europe (Osiris). They’re written in the first person by Morgan, the daughter of an immortal alien. A description of the books is below along with cover art created by my friend Dawnita Parmely.

I’ll be adding printed copies before too long. You can use this link or just google Wendy Danks on Amazon.

About the Series

Morgan The Last Immortal is my autobiography and the real story of immortals on planet Earth. We are actually the children of aliens who came here in the distant past.  The people of their planet had bio-engineered a gland which repaired damage at the cellular level, making them nearly impossible to kill. It also made women sterile, so they sent starships to find mothers for their children. I was born to one of these aliens and a human woman in the first century AD. Left in the care of my sister, a healer and immortal, I became skilled at treating injuries and illnesses from a very young age.

Book 1: Merlin begins when I was 12 when an evil immortal, Merlin, murdered my entire village, taking me captive. I lost my childhood and my innocence then. But while I lived with terror and rage, I also found true friendship with another of his prisoners and Merlin’s children. At first, we lived aboard the Anubis, a huge sailing vessel the aliens had constructed. After its technology failed we ended up in an isolated village in Brittania. The villagers were forced to acknowledge Merlin as their god and arch druid. We lived under his control until he left with his young daughter and didn’t return.

Book 2: Arthur takes place 500 years later.  I had been living peacefully with the sisters of Avalon, an island refuge for women and orphans, when Merlin upended my life once again. He and his daughter, Viviane, arrived with a child named Arthur to place under my protection. I should have known better. Within days, Viviane had murdered every one of the women and children I cared about. One of Merlin’s sons and I fled and raised the boy who became king of all Brittania. Most of the legends surrounding King Arthur have some basis in truth, but I’ll tell you what really happened.

Book 3: Osiris begins around the year 1350.  I had long ago departed Brittania for Europa, living a series of new lives every 20 years or so. That all changed when a mysterious illness began killing entire villages. The black death was everywhere, leaving those who survived suspicious and frightened.  But it also led me to find a new family, including two young immortals and the human man I loved.  My life came full circle when I finally took Merlin’s head and later met my father, Osiris in an Atlian city filled with alien marvels.

My 40-year-plus career in marketing and communications was both fun and rewarding, not least of which was the 20 years I got to manage the largest Parade of Homes in the United States. But through it all, I was happiest when I had pen or keyboard in hand. Whether an ad, a press release or magazine article, I found a home with words.
